Meet Christopher J Arellano, PhD.!

Dr. Arellano is an Associate Professor in the University of Arizona’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery – College of Medicine. He is the product of the NASA Harriett G. Jenkins Predoctoral Fellowship, earning his PhD in Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Dr. Arellano is a published author in sports science. His work, including breaking down the 2-hour marathon barrier, has garnered recognition from the New York Times. He is also co-author of "The Science of Speed: The Art of the Sprint" with Coach Tom Tellez. Dr. Arellano brings a wealth of expertise, including research experience at NASA Johnson Space Center in the Anthropometrics and Biomechanics Facility.
